Google Chrome Beta has now been officially released and is available for download. Like all the Google products, I highly recommend you to try this out too since it is free and is unlikely to disappoint the users! This Google Chrome is not only designed to be lightweight and fast and but also is optimized for the next generation applications that goes heavy with multimedia and graphics.

This experimental browser is based on the Webkit engine which has introduced a new tab concept meant for fast browsing experience.

Google Chrome will include some of the more popular features from existing competitors in this browser war such as, it has a homepage of nine instant-access shortcut thumbnails, as found in Opera 9, with a sidebar of recent searches and tabs. This beta version is currently available for Windows users only.

Some very noticeable features of Google Chrome Beta are.

  • The address bar, called omnibox, gives you suggestion for both searches and web pages.
  • Access your favorite pages instantly with lightning speed.
  • Make desktop shortcuts for your favorite web applications.
  • Enjoy safe and private browsing using Incognito tabs.

You can download Google Chrome from http://www.google.com/chrome. If you are having trouble downloading from the site, here is a direct link. Please don’t forget to share your views on this new browser.
