Welcome back!

You must have heard about “December 21, 2012 – Doomsday,” the day when the world is predicted to come to an end.

It is amazingly how the December 21, 2012, end of the world prophecy has been backed up by so many different religions, calendars, and prophecies, including Bible Book Of Revelation. But most recently, there is another End Of The World Prediction made by Christian radio host from Family Radio, Harold Camping. Harold Camping states that the rapture (taking up elected persons to Heaven by God) will take place on May 21st, 2011, at 6 p.m. and that the end of the world will take place on October 21st, 2011.

“I know it’s absolutely true, because the Bible is always absolutely true.”

- Harold Camping, President, Family Radio

Here are the predictions done by Harold Camping:

  • This rapture will happen on May 21, 2011 where approximately 3% of the world’s population will be called to heaven.
  • Earthquakes will start on May 21st, 2011, on Christmas Island, Kiribati at 6 p.m. (0400 UTC).
  • Earthquakes will continue with New York, United States to be affected at approximately 6 p.m. (2200 UTC)
  • The earthquake will finally strike Samoa, American Samoa and Niue at 6 p.m. (0500 UTC).
  • And finally, the end of the world will take place after five months on October 21, 2011, where the Earth will be destroyed by Fire.

Harold Camping has come to this exact date of May 21, 2011 through the following calculations from the Bible verse:

Genesis 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

2 Peter 3:6-8 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The above statements have been copied from Bible verse in which Harold Camping clarifies that God refers 1 day as 1000 years in Earth. After Noah’s flood, the earth will have 7000 years to “find refuge in salvation.” The flood of Noah’s day occurred in the year 4990 BC (which is true). So if we add up 7000 years from the date of Noah’s flood, the year will come to 2011!

4990 + 2011 – 1 = 7000 years!

(We need to deduct 1 year because there is no year 0 when converting from BC date to new date).

How did he derive to the very day of May 21st, 2011:

According to Bible, God did bring flood on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Biblical calendar. Now, interestingly May 21st, 2011 is the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Hebrew calendar. That means the exact 7000 years from the time of flood would come to May 21st, 2011 Georgian calendar!

So, do you believe now that May 21, 2011, is going to be the End Of The World?

Harold Camping himself had published similar prediction that the earth will come to an end and that the rapture will begin on September 4th, 1994, and yet we live! There has been hundreds of such predictions in the past about the end of the world, many of which has a later soon to come dates such as December 21, 2012 and now October 21, 2011. I think that people actually find the “End Of The World” to be too amusing, because of which the “End Of The World” really sells!

You will find it amazing that December 21, 2012 Doomsday, in fact is backed up with so many prophecies from the Mayan Calendar to Bible Book Of Revelation which all predict that the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012. So if we assume that the world in fact will come to an end on December 21, 2012 (which I don’t think happen anyway), why shifting the date of End of the World sooner to May 21, 2011??

There have been various natural disasters and destructions in the past and many will follow in the future as well, but this doesn’t mean the world will come to an end. Throughout history, people always believed the end of world was near, and all the predictions were wrong. Harold Camping on his September 4, 1994, prediction was so sure that the earth will come to an end and yet we stand. Later he concluded there was a “calculation error” and now again is dead sure that the Earth as we know it will come to an end on May 21, 2011.

Well, if you also think that the world will come to an end today, sorry to disappoint you guys, I’m also dead sure that he’ll again come up with “another mathematical error” and that the end of the world is just not going to happen soon! ;)

UPDATE (May 21, 2011 6 p.m.): The Judgment Day Just Didn’t Happen!…LOL

If you’re reading this post right now, of course it means Judgment Day didn’t happen! (And it never was supposed to either.)

Watch a video below on how bad on the day of apocalypse was it raining and giant, I repeat, GIANT earthquakes shaking things up and cracking the streets in NY!

I wonder what explanation Harold Camping will come up with now.

UPDATE (May 22, 2011): Harold Camping’s Family Radio Goes Quiet!

After countless broadcasting and nationwide campaign, Harold Camping’s Family Radio has gone quiet as the end of the world prediction failed. There is even a report of assault by Harold Camping Family Radio supporters on May 21 to the media @ ProducerMatthew. Video embedded below:

I guess all these fuss will just go mute till Harold Camping prepares for his “3rd prediction” for the End Of The World. ;)

UPDATE (May 24, 2011): October 21, 2011 Is The Real Judgment Day! – Harold Camping

Harold Camping apologized for being inaccurate with the May 21, 2011 End Of The World prediction but now predicts that the “real” apocalypse will certainly be on October 21, 2011!

Harold Camping has made one of the most “predictable” moves by stating now that the real Judgment Day is on October 21, 2011. But don’t worry if it doesn’t happen in October 21st as I’m sure he’s got many other dates for End Of The World too – guess right now he’s too annoyed that the world didn’t come to an end on May 21st and desperately wants the world to end sooner. ;)

I am sorry to have to say this, but you all are incredibly gullible, and you seem to have no capacity for critical thought.

You know God and Christianity are myths, right?

Im sorry you happen to be an athiest and im sorry that you have no one in your life you can look up to and look to when you need help. There have been many times when i have prayed and God has answered my prayers in amazing ways. I personally believe that it takes a lot more faith to think that the universe was created from a big ball that formed from nothing which then exploded and made a perfect place called earth land in perfect distance to the sun so we wouldnt freeze or burn to death. It is much more likely that there is a God out there who made everything perfect for us to live on earth. I also highly doubt that humans were a bunch of dust, which then formed into goo, which then formed into a frog of some sort, which than turned into a monkey, which then turned into a human. If that had happened, we would still be seeing stuff like that today.

I think you don’t really understand the process that resulted in life on Earth. The fact that you don’t understand it doesn’t mean that there had to have been a God who did it.

Just as you are sorry that I’m an atheist (you didn’t spell that correctly, by the way), I am sorry that you depend on wishful thinking, magic, and myths to help you navigate through life.

Have there been any times when God has NOT answered your prayers?

        TO: Tyler

Sorry I am not an atheist, I believe in God Almighty and Jesus Christ his son who died for all of our sins. And Just for believing, trusting and sincerely trying to live right as he is our rightness we will have Eternal life with him.

With God’s Love God Bless You

      TO: BOB

      I didn’t say I believe what this guy said I actually said I didn’t
