MORE ABOUT ME
Blogging is my hobby, and I enjoy interacting with people. I am always looking forward to add on some value to my reader’s experience, and variables like traffic and how others perceive my articles, etc. are simply making me glued to this blogging world.
However, my ultimate aim was to be an Animator.
Yes, I had always dreamt of becoming one of the best animators. At the current age of 19, I am trying to concentrate my studies in the Computer Animation field, but Alas! I fear my dream of joining the animation field will mere be a dream due of lack of funds.
I do not regret of not being able to join the field of animation because I think I’ve already done my best to accumulate the funds - worked endless nights in various night job positions for higher pays, worked even two to three shifts to accumulate more funds, conserved expenses as much as possible, etc. - and here I am…still with insufficient funds to join my dream career.
I guess now after multiple failed attempts, I’ll have to sacrifice my dream. However, I am glad that I left no stones unturned to fulfill my dreams of joining the animation field.
But hey, I still have hopes; hopes that some day one generous sponsor might stumble upon this page and be generous enough to sponsor and invest on me to help me join this lucrative field of animation, and if someone does help me sponsoring for this, you can really imagine how determined I will be to never let that person down and to make sure that every penny invested on me don’t get wasted! I’ve achieved excellent grades till now, and if I am given any such opportunity, I’m sure I’ll leave no stones unturned to fulfill and achieve my ultimate aim.
Here are a few of my projects on animation that I did from self-learning. I did all these by myself without anyone’s assistance, (and of course) with the help of 3D Max (for animation) and fruity loops (for sound). I know these are not good, but I made this from whatever I could self-learn from 3D Max pdf tutorials and using a little bit of my creativity. I hope you’ll at least “try to enjoy” watching these animations.
My First Animation
Description: This is my first work with 3D Max.
Sound: I originally recorded the sound by actually “pouring some water in a glass” and mixed the sound to the animation.
Time: Approximately 14 hours (considering I’d been self-learning 3D Max for about 3 days).
Animation - 2
Description: This is my second project. After learning to make an hour-glass and being perfect working with layers, vertex, shapes, etc., I then started working with camera effects.
Sound: I remixed the “Ambience-Outburst” to created this soothing music from Fruity Loops 5.1. Actually, I enjoyed and have created lots of music from Fruity Loops as well.
Time: Approximately 26 hours. Creating music from Fruity Loops also took a considerable amount of time.
Animation - 3
Description: Okay. I ended up with this as I was experimenting with discreet combustion and yes, I did it learning from the tutorials, etc. It was fun combining the 3D Max motion and videos. I first created this 3D Plane, made it move in a pattern, shot a video in my hometown, Nepal, and then finally combined the 3D Plane with the home video.
Sound: Wondering from where I got this sound effect? Well, I used Sony Sound Forge to record the sound of an aircraft from GTA IV and to give it a more realistic approach, I manipulated the sound volume in an attempt to give a sound effect when the plane is nearing and passes by.
Time: More than 52 hours! Mixing sound, etc. was not a big deal, but the main problem was working with combustion and designing the plane and its movement. As you can see in the video, the plane just “seems to drop” from nowhere.
I’ll correct this later. However, I still need to make the plane look more realistic. (It seems like it is a toy..LOL)
Ocean Animation
Description: This is my latest animation, the ocean animation.
Sound: I copied the sound of the ocean from a movie (I don’t recall the name now though).
Time: Things are now getting more and more complicated. However, this one took me around 20 hours to complete.
If these videos does not run in this page, try watching it directly from Youtube.
I hope you’ve at least “tried to enjoy” watching these animations. Well, if I am to join this career of Computer Animation in University Of Colorado, I’m 100% sure that you’ll see some really great animations you’ve ever seen! (But right now, I am aggressively searching for any sponsors who can help me during my study phase.) Wish me luck!
Would you also like to help me find a sponsor?
Yes, you can help me by bookmarking this page and letting others know about me through many available social bookmarking sites like Stumble, Digg, Reddit, etc!
I’m really optimistic that with your contribution and help, I might get lucky and end up with a great sponsor who can sponsor my studies in the University Of Colorado!
I hope you will participate and help me for a genuine cause.
