Welcome back! There are occasions when you will want to hide files secretly to protect from or prevent unasked access. You must have heard of a handful of tricks on how to hide files inside pictures and other files in Windows. Now, here is another cool little tool that lets you hide files from within other files, OmniHide.
With OmniHide, you can not only hide files inside an image file, a video, an audio file like an MP3 or any text document, but also password protect for an extra safety of your precious secret files!
Hiding a file within another file is quite a piece of cake if you’ve got OmniHide. Just download the app, install, choose mask file inside which your specific file is to be hidden, choose file that will be hidden inside the file, and that’s all!
There are two modes for hiding the files; the ‘Portable Hide’ mode and the ‘Secure Hide’ mode.
If you choose the ‘Portable Hide’ mode, the file is just plain hidden and there’s no added security – Winzip or WinRAR can be used to view the hidden content. Alternatively, you can download the free Omnihide extractor to extract the hidden file.
If you choose the ‘Secure Hide’ mode, OmniHide will encrypt the file. You can further add a password which needs to be keyed in at the time of recovering the hidden file.
Download the trial version now and start hiding your secret data with OmniHide.

MP3Gain is a wonderful freeware that makes normalizing sound of audio files a piece of cake! It is a free sound amplifier with which you can amplify any MP3 files with just a single click!

MP3Gain does not just do peak normalization, as many normalizers do. Instead, it does some statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear. Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless. There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file directly, without decoding and re-encoding.
The text quoted above from the official site says it all.
Just drag/drop or add files/folders in the MP3Gain window, set the target volume (dB) and press the “Track Gain” button, that’s all! You’ll find uncompromised quality of the MP3 file for your targeted volume!
This freeware works on Windows XP, Vista, as well as Windows 7.

Do you have a problem running latest games smoothly in your machine?
Upgrading a machine every time to play latest games is not a solution at all, and many gamers do tend to end up using an alternative method for optimized game play via tweaking various game settings and configurations. If you’re into this as well, I have a more effective, alternative method that can help you make more important technical tweaks for optimized PC performance for more smooth, more responsible game play with just a simple click!
Game Booster is a free game accelerator utility tool for Windows designed to specifically cater the needs of low-budget gamers who cannot upgrade their system every time just to play the latest games. Here are some key features of Game Booster:
- Speeds up gameplay via enabling more more CPU and RAM to your games.
- Defrags game files and game directories to make your games load and run faster than ever.
- Increases gaming stability by temporarily closing background processes and unnecessary Windows services.
- Above all, it’s safe, secure, and it’s 100% FREE!
Of note, I have found Game Booster to be extremely effective not only while playing games but also when running heavy applications such as Adope Photoshop, etc. It’s a great application, and I recommend it a must have for everyone, both with faster PC and with slower PC.

Mozilla has just released Firefox 3.5 a couple of days ago, the latest version of my favorite web browser. If you’re still with the 3.5 Beta version, here is a link to download Firefox 3.5.

Well, if you’ve not been using Mozilla Firefox web browser till now, I strongly suggest you start using it immediately! It is not only more faster than other browsers but also more convenient and easy to use with fantastic functions like Private Browsing Mode.
On the previous beta versions, you could not enable private browsing mode - what you could do is remove your browsing history for just a specific website or just the history of the last few hours browsing.
However, with the release of Firefox 3.5, now you can always start and stop private browsing mode. Here is how you do it.
- Make sure you’ve downloaded Firefox 3.5 and not Firefox 3.5 Beta.
- Click on the tools menu and click on “Start Private Browsing.” You can also use the shortcut simply by pressing Shift + Ctrl + P (Press Shift, Control, and P keys at once together).
- Firefox will ask you to confirm your decision. Confirm it my clicking on “Start Private Browsing” again.
- To end your private browsing session, just again click on “End Private Browsing” on the tools menu or again press Shift + Ctrl + P.
As soon as you activate Private Browsing mode in Firefox, all what you’ve browsed, cookies, and data are stored temporarily, i.e., as soon as you end the session, everything will be flushed out with no traces left behind of your browsing history!
