First of all, let me tell you what Alzheimer’s disease is. Alzheimer’s disease is a common form of dementia characterized by memory lapses, confusion, emotional instability, and progressive loss of mental ability, and the worst part, there is no known cure!
It is estimated that 26.6 million people worldwide were afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in 2006 and this figure has been increasing day by day! Today, Alzheimer disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, and whether you know or not, someone new is diagnosed of this Alzheimer’s disease every 71 seconds! Yes, that’s pretty scary for a common disease, and how would you feel if your mother stops recognizing you all of a sudden? How would you react if your father forgets who you are a moment after you talk with him? Those would be the time when you have no option but to feel helpless and lost as there is no cure for this disease at all!
