Yes, this blog is exactly what it does for me. I share my ideas, opinion, and thoughts with the world through my blog, but hey, it is not free; it costs me money! ($6/month for hosting and $10/year for domain registration) Plus there is another key core concept in blogging besides writing unique, useful contents, that is Marketing. Whether you believe me or not, of the total time that I spend blogging, I actually spend more than 90-95% of my time marketing my blog for interactions and feedback and only about 5-10% of my time writing useful posts and articles for my readers and visitors. For every webmasters, be that it is a blogger like me or any site owners who wants to sell ads, the web traffic is one of the most important part of web business. Your site may be very interesting and informative, but if you are unable to generate traffic to your website, your effort will just be useless. Things like how many visitors visit your site every day, what are the number of loyal readers, etc. are very important factors for success in web business.

Now the main question is how do we increase web traffic?

I was surfing through net last night and I came across this amazing website. Just after having a glimpse of the concept, I felt this will 100% work, and I immediately signed up. I have been researching on the Internet a lot on how to make my blog one of the best blogs available in the market. Mere keeping the blog title as “Best Collections of…” ain’t gonna do the trick; I realize this. There are a lot of things that I need to do to make my blog a successful blog. Well, after spending lots of time in continuous research on success and failure of the blogs, I have come to the following top 6 reasons why a blog fails:

1. Blogging is all about passion. Do you have it! Well, if you are blogging just to “earn money,” then there is a high chance that your blog might fail! Yes. I am dead serious about my statement. Well, everybody wants to make money, and that is the ultimatum for developing a blog. However, if you do not have a passion for the subject you are writing and just concerned about “making-money,” then you will not survive even the early stages of blogging, as you would simply lose interest if it did not “yield you the results that you expected!”
2. Do you have a patience and a persistence! Making a blog successful does take a lot of patience, hard-working, and persistence. Simply having a burning desire to lead doesn’t mean a thing if you can’t show persistence and patience. If nobody visits your blog, no problem, “Are you ready to talk to yourself!” Yes…that’s the idea. Just try to be patient, but persistent.
