Welcome back!

Have you noticed the up and down tabs on the side of your every Google search results, just as shown in the image below?

SearchWiki

This is SearchWiki, a new tool offered by Google that enables you to personalize and customize your Google searches with features of reorganization and even writing notes and comments for your search results!

Well, the first thing is you’ve to sign in to your Google account, where all your settings, customization, and preferences of Google searches will be saved such that the next time you do some Googling, your personalized and customized searches will show as preferences. It would be something like marking your “favorite” and “useless” Google search results so the next time you do the searches, your favorites would show up first!

Additionally, SearchWiki offers an option to make all your notes and comments public to share your opinion about the particular search results.

You can click on the “Up” arrow to promote your search results to the top of your results, clicking the “X” would remove the results from your search preference, and clicking on comment button would enable you to add a note for the result.

Now, one interesting thing that I have noticed is that Google states that “The changes you make only affect your own searches” but I’m sure Google will use these huge, user-generated datas for overall search preferences and hence we may be nearing the end of Search Engine Optimizations.
